Challenge #124. Warm Fuzzies.

Welcome to the 124th challenge of the Order of the Opus Gluei!

Rosemary here and I'm proposing a theme of

Warm Fuzzies

because this is the time of year when we're hopefully thinking warm fuzzy feelings for those we love or we're wearing warm fuzzy attire to keep us cozy in the chill of winter (at least around this part of the world).

I made little felt hearts to resemble the candy hearts (or conversation hearts as they are sometimes known).   Easy peasy to make (check out my blog to see just how easy)

I'm hoping you incorporate a texture into your project for this theme - perhaps felt, suede, flocking, velvet, embossing, needlecraft, whatever.  Or perhaps your inspiration will take you into the direction of feeling warm fuzzies in a less literal sense - it is almost Valentine's Day.

So, let's see how our theme inspires you and let's see that creativity here!

Need more inspiration?  Well, then check out what the lovely Poobahs of Opus Gluei have created!

Gini here -   I decided on the lovey dovey donuts of a Valentine's card for Himself who likes the colour purple. I prefer the colour red and seeing as I was making it, it's mainly red!

The top heart pulls up for the message which I haven't written yet OR maybe it's written in invisible distress ink that you have to lick for the writing to appear.
Oh come on, surely you're not surprised?!!
You know full well that Tim Holtz can do anything with Distress Inks.

Kristen here - I picked up sticks on my last outdoor walk before the 18 degree weather and snow hit this weekend! I used those as a nest for a warm and fuzzy bird. I used some adhesive backed felt material for the bird and the border. The "loads of love" sentiment also lends to a warm and fuzzy feeling. To make it EVEN FUZZIER.... I added some fun fur down the edge of the bird layer. The inside of the card has a repeat of the fuzzy border... so while the recipient is holding it, their hands will be warm... and feeling some fuzzy!

Electra here -
This is my fuzzy.
Really, the only "fuzzy" thing on here is the peacock feather,
but since I love peacock feathers and I love this LO,
I decided this qualifies for Rosemary's challenge.
That's the most excellent thing about Opus Gluei, how we can
each interpret the challenges in our own way and
no one will send in the challenge police.
I do hope you will show us YOUR fuzzy!
Deena here - it appears that my post had disappeared from this challenge for some reason?  Maybe my card wasn't fuzzy enough?  Not sure, but here it is anyway:
must say, that I just love my friend blogger and all the practical jokes he plays on me...he is definitely one who does not give me the warm fuzzies...more like a heated up fit of rage...

Jana - I decided to make a coffee cup sleeve. My oldest daughter likes to take coffee to school with her sometimes. But she uses disposable cups, and they don't come with the sleeves.

I have details and a couple more pictures on my blog.

You have until the end of Saturday 25 February to join in with your fabulous creation celebrating everything warm and fuzzie. Add your blog post address to Mr Linky below.
If you would like to join in with a previous challenge we've set (life happens and lateness is absolutely fine, we don't mind a bit) just add your blog post address to Mr Linky below. Please make sure your blog post refers to the previous challenge you are entering so we don't get confused.
We look forward to visiting you!
